SALVATION

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God, but God is still calling you by His Spirit to be a part of His family and His Church. You feel a longing in your soul family and friends cannot satisfy. It is homing device placed there by god so that you would look for Him as the Savior of your soul.

God is standing in eternity not faced by the passing of time loving us and conditionally no matter what our station in life no matter what are physical spiritual emotional mental or financial condition no matter what we have done or not done

But it is not enough for god to love us, even die for us...

The Bible is the true word of God it is the voice of the one true God speaking to us. In it we find these words: If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by our faith that we are put right with God; It is by our confession that we are saved (Romans 10:9-10). We must respond to god’s love in faith (John 3:16-18) Pray this prayer:

God of heaven and earth, I am sorry for the wrong that I’ve done I’m sorry that i didn’t come to your sooner. Forgive me of all my sins. Help me never to return to them. I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and that he died to pay for my sins. I believe you raise Jesus from death and that he’s praying for me now in heaven. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and use me to your glory. I thank you for your gift of salvation. I accept it now as a free gift from you. Help me to live the new creation you have made me. In Jesus name I pray,  Amen.

Call or email as to tell us you made this life-changing decision, or if you want us to pray with you.

Come join us at Bethany African Methodist Episcopal Church and be a part of something really special.

We rejoice everyday because the Awesome, Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent God, the Creator of heaven and earth, has mercies that are new every morning for us. God is not surprised by the mistakes we make during our lifetime. He knows all about us, from beginning to end, and loves us anyway!

God loves you as much today as God ever did. God loves you as much right now – with the same unconditional love that He had when He sent His only Son to die for you. It doesn’t matter what your physical, spiritual, mental, environmental, or financial condition might be, God loves you. It doesn’t matter what you have done or
have not done.

God still loves you. But as awesome as God’s love is, it is not enough. In order to receive the maximum benefit of God’s love (including salvation) you must respond by accepting God’s Son, Jesus Christ (see John 3:16-18 and Romans 10:9). Give us a call so we can discuss it.

bible reading plan

The Scriptures say, “People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4 (NLT); For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Hebrews 4:12 (NLT); So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11 (The Amplified Bible); Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Matthew 24:35 (KJV) We are commanded by God to study to show ourselves approved unto God rather than put to shame because of our lack of knowledge of and participation in God’s plan to advance the kingdom of God.

The Bible is without question the most amazing book in the world. It is also without question the Word of God, written in different lands over a period of some 1,500 years. It was written by more than 40 authors from different walks of life—shepherds, farmers, tentmakers, a physician, fishermen, philosophers, and kings. These authors lived hundreds of miles apart, and some of their lives were separated by centuries. Most of them never saw each other at all. Yet, the Bible has a close-fitting unity, as if one author wrote it, which is indeed the case. Who is that one Author, and how did His message come to be written down (2 Peter 1:21)?

The Bible has been translated into more than 1,100 languages and dialects, while the works of Shakespeare, who was probably the greatest author of secular literature, have been translated into less than 50 languages. Although the Bible originated in the Middle East, it has transcended all national and ethnic boundaries and is accepted by people around the world. More than 30 million copies of the Bible are sold each year.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.. 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)

There’s nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us. 2 Timothy 3:15-17 (The Message Bible)

Do yourself a favor, get into the Word! Join us here at Bethany. We meet every Wednesday at 7:30 PM

YOUR ADDRESS

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”

Matthew 25:35-36 NIV

Bethany African Methodist Episcopal Church has had the honor and been a place of worship, fellowship, and serving the community of Capitol Heights for over twenty-one years.

Now, we are on a mission to pay off our church so that we can answer God’s call and that is to feed the hungry, clothe the naked and aid in eviction prevention. Unfortunately, at the present time we are not able to help as many as we would like. Paying off the church will allow for us to make a major impact while expanding our community outreach.

Your support will help us eliminate this debt and strengthen our foundation for generations to come. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to our goal.

Study the Word

Sunday Church School starts at 9:30 at our Capitol Heights location.
Sunday Worship Service begins at 11:00 AM
